α (アルファ)

イランの打楽器トンバク・ダフなどを主に演奏する音楽家 蔡怜雄のソロアルバム。1399年ごろに作製されたモンセラートの朱い本に収録されている曲を黙示録に描かれている世界をイメージして編曲、また即興演奏されている。使用楽器は古代からペルシャに伝わる楽器、ヨーロッパの古楽器、現代の創作楽器などを使用し、過去の事であり今現在の事としての黙示録の世界が表現されている。

Leo Sai’s new album α (alpha)
The songs recorded in the Llibre Vermell, which was written around 1399, were arranged and improvised in the image of the world depicted in the apocalypse. The musical instruments used were those that have been handed down from the ancient times in Persia, ancient European musical instruments, and modern instruments, expressing the world of apocalypse as the thing of the past and the thing of the present.
