Ryoji Yamaguchi
Guitarist and composer. Born in Israel, Ryoji has lived in Greece, Mexico, El Salvador, and the United States, from an early age. He is recognized for his deep and evocative performances, incorporating music from around the world, ancient Greek music, and contemporary music. He studied classical guitar at the University of Miami. Active as a versatile performer, composer, and improviser, he has performed in the United States, Jamaica, Greece, Portugal, Cape Verde, and Japan. He has appeared at Festival Lent (Slovenia), and Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival. He has performed with Earl "Chinna" Smith (Bob Marley & the Wailers), Noh actor Reijiro Tsumura, and many other artists. The album "oracle" features ancient Greek music, "SEMIMARU" features esoteric Japanese lute pieces from Heian period, and "WOLVES" features improvisations with Leo Sai and Keisuke Ohta. "Symbiotic Diaries 1," an art book with artist Ryoko Uchida, features a combination of paintings and musical scores, with over 12 hours of improvised music. Ryoji founded the music label OURANIA ARMONIIA in 2018.

山口亮志、ギタリスト・作曲家。イスラエルで生まれ、幼少期よりギリシャ、メキシコ、エルサルバドル、アメリカで暮らした後日本に拠点を移す。クラシックギターを軸に、世界各地の音楽、古代ギリシャの音楽、現代音楽を取り入れ、深みがあり情景を思い起こさせる演奏には定評がある。マイアミ大学フロスト音楽学校でギターを専攻。様々な分野の音楽において、演奏家、作曲家として活躍。アメリカ、ジャマイカ、ギリシャ、ポルトガル、カーボ・ヴェルデ、日本各地で公演を行う。Festival Lent (Slovenia)、Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festivalに出演。Earl "Chinna" Smith (Bob Marley & the Wailers)を始め、多数の表現者と共演。アルバム『oracle』では古代ギリシャの楽曲、『SEMIMARU』では琵琶の名手 蝉丸が弾いていた秘曲、『WOLVES』では蔡怜雄氏、太田惠資氏との即興演奏を収録。画家 内田涼子氏との絵と楽譜のアートブック『Symbiotic Diaries 1』では12時間以上に及ぶ即興音楽を録音。音楽レーベルOURANIA ARMONIIAを設立。
